Mistress Philomena Wensley (mka Roberta Brewer)
Barony of Oldenfeld [email protected] Mistress Philomena has been cooking in Trimaris and Oldenfeld since 2012 when she did her very first fundraiser lunch with great success and was the first of her many "mini-feasts" as her friends jokingly and lovingly called them. She wanted to show it was possible to serve a period lunch for the masses that wasn't cold cut sandwiches and chips. She has done full feasts for both her Barony and her Kingdom, as well as helping other feast stewards with their breakfasts, and or lunches. She loves all phases of feast stewarding, from menu planning, testing recipes, and even cooking in a hot kitchen full of friends. She's had some crazy experiences over the years (boy can she tell you some stories) and has learned to never jokingly suggest to an autocrat that they (you) should do a 10 course feast in honor of the Barony's 10 year anniversary! She enjoys passing on her love of cooking to anyone who will let her and routinely teaches classes, both in Trimaris, and at Gulf Wars, on all sorts of topics, from how to be a feast steward, to classes on all different kinds of period dishes from many different cultures. She also loves to mentor new feast stewards and is always willing to help anyone who asks. |
